Do I Qualify for Hospice Benefits?

A person qualifies for Hospice/Pallitive care (comfort care) when they have/are:

  1. A diagnosis of a terminal disease with a prognosis of six months or less, if the disease runs its normal course.
  2. Dependent upon others for a majority of their Activities of Daily Living i.e. bathing, walking, eating, toileting etc.
  3. A weight loss of 5% of body weight in three months or ten % of body weight in six months.
